Why hard
Programs have lockstep curriculum. Mid-program transfer rarely accepted. Most accept only pre-nursing courses.
When transfer works
Between same-type programs (BSN to BSN, ADN to ADN) early in program. Geographic relocation with cooperating programs.
Alternative
Finish at current school then RN-to-BSN at preferred school. Often faster than fighting for mid-program transfer.
