The app

What is Nursing Ready?

An NCLEX-RN prep app built on one idea: you should always know what to study next. 6,497 questions with full explanations, 4,753 flashcards, 40 lessons, 25 NGN case studies, 8 mock exams, and a daily 20-minute list picked from how you are doing.

How many questions are there, really?

6,497 questions across all eight content areas. That is the exact count in the app, not a rounded number. The methodology page shows how they are written and checked.

Does it cover the Next Gen NCLEX?

Yes. All six new question types: matrix, bow-tie, cloze, drag and drop, highlight, and extended multiple response. Case studies follow the NCSBN clinical judgement model. Try a matrix question in the free diagnostic.

What kind of explanation comes with each question?

One line to remember, why the right answer is right, why each wrong one looks tempting, and the test-taking pattern that gets you there when you don't know the fact.

How many mock exams are there?

8 full mock exams, timed. Each one discloses its category mix up front instead of claiming to mirror the official test plan percentages, because our bank is not yet deep enough in every category to make that claim honestly.

How do the flashcards work?

Cards you find easy come back less often. Cards you fumble come back sooner. 2,419 of the 4,753 are fill in the blank, so you have to recall the answer instead of recognising it.

Can I study offline?

Yes. Questions, lessons, explanations and flashcards are all on your phone. A flight or a dead zone doesn't stop a session. Progress syncs when you are back online.

Studying

How does the daily plan get built?

You set your exam date and how much time you have. We then pick each question on four things: how weak that topic is for you, how long since you saw it, how often the exam tests it, and whether the difficulty fits you right now. One topic can only repeat so many times, so a session never turns into 20 minutes of the same subject.

What happens to questions I get wrong?

They go in the mistake bank and come back on day 1, 3, 7 and 14. A question only stops coming back after you get it right twice in a row. Recognising an answer is not the same as knowing it.

How long should I prepare?

Four to eight weeks of real work suits most people. Recent grads often need less. If it has been a while since school, or you are working full time, eight to twelve weeks is more realistic. The app gives you a ready date based on your own pace.

Is 20 minutes a day really enough?

20 minutes you actually do beats two hours you plan and skip. It is the floor, not the ceiling. On days you have more time, keep going.

Is this enough on its own?

It covers every content area on the exam and plenty of people use it as their main resource. It is not a replacement for nursing school. If a whole subject never clicked, add a content review for that subject.

Will it guarantee I pass?

No, and be suspicious of anything that says it can. Your result depends on your school, your habits and your test day. What we do offer is the 6-month plan refund: score 80% on three mock exams, finish your plan, and if you still don't pass we refund you.

Devices, billing, data

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad, iOS 16 or later. Android and a web version are being built. The diagnostic on this site already works in any browser.

What does it cost?

$129.99 a month, $249.99 for three months, or $449.99 for six months with the Pass Guarantee, each starting with 7 free days. If your exam is within a week, Cram Week is $79.99 a week with no free trial. Every plan renews until you cancel. The App Store checkout always shows the final price. See the pricing page.

How do I cancel?

Settings, then your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then Nursing Ready, then Cancel. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.

Is my progress backed up?

Yes. Progress, scores and settings sync to your account, so a new phone restores everything when you sign in.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. In the app under Settings, or email privacy@nursingready.com. Deletion is permanent and takes up to 30 days. Cancel your subscription separately through Apple, since we can't do that for you.

How do I reach support?

support@nursingready.com, usually answered within a business day. More on the contact page.
